JOYCE'S ART   paintings' online catalogue 2024

Mid-nineties.
I am holding a portrait the irish artist Mc. Sweeney painted of me in 1990, with oil on hard board.
The chimneys show layers of plaster of Paris, coloured with animation acrylics which I used to bring back, at the end of productions, from animation studios where I also free-lanced as a cell-painter.
For almost two decades, Bonnington Square was a squatted neighborhood in South London, close to the river Thames, thriving with creative artists ranging from musicians to sculptors, dancers, writers, painters, illustrators and film-makers where I lived and created art for eleven years.
